We don’t practice corruption, Umno responds to MACC's warning

It appears that Umno is not losing sleep over the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) warning that it has corrupt politicians in its crosshairs.
According to party secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, this is because Umno does not indulge in corruption.
“Well...The warning, to me, is a warning. It is quite good for all of us to be careful, to be aware.
“But we don’t practice corrupt practices so please just don’t practice corrupt practices,” he told reporters at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon.
Tengku Adnan was responding to MACC chief commissioner Dzulkifli Ahmad’s warning during a live television interview last night.
Dzulkifli recalled that in his open letter issued on his 100th day as chief commissioner, he had warned corrupt politicians that he will come after them.
Responding to claims that MACC dared not take action against politicians, Dzulkifli however stressed that the warning still stands.
Meanwhile, Tengku Adnan, who was met after he flagged off a Barisan Nasional Youth flood aid mission, said the convoy will be distributing basic necessities to some 500 families in Pasir Putih, Kelantan.

“Apart from that, we will also see whether there needs to be efforts to clean up areas which were affected by the floods," he said.
The federal territories minister also confirmed that more of such convoys will follow suit.
“If other logistics are needed, for example from the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), we will send assistance,” he promised.- Mkini
