Maria Chin to lodge report after car window was smashed

Bersih chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah will lodge a police report tonight after her car’s driver side window was smashed as she was driving today.

“I was driving to go to a meeting, just turning from (Bersih) office down (in Petaling Jaya) to the Federal Highway.

“It happened so fast, somebody just smashed the driver’s window, while I was moving. Something hit my window and then it just cracked,” she said, when contacted by Malaysiakini.

As she was concentrating on the road and the window was cracked after it was hit, she said she could not see who or what caused the crack.

She also said she would be lodging a police report over this incident because she has been receiving odd text messages and phone calls the past few days from unknown numbers.

Even her son has been receiving such text messages and phone calls, she added.

“I do hope that it is (just) an accident, but it does not look like an accident, because there were no lorries carrying sand or stones near me,” she said.- Mkini
