Putrajaya has not encountered any difficulties in formulating a law to regulate political funding despite the complexity of its nature, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Paul Low.
"It's quite a complicated bill that requires a lot of further consultation.
"No difficulty. We are working on it," he said.
Low claimed the proposed Political Donations and Expenditure Act (PDEA) may be tabled in Parliament for first reading next year.
"We have established a technical committee with the various ministries and various experts and we are now on course for drafting (the bill)," he said when met in Putrajaya today.
Previously, Low said the bill might not be tabled in Parliament in time for the 14th General Election.
