KAJANG: The body of an unidentified woman was found in a pool of blood in a hotel room at Jalan Kasturi 3, Balakong, here today.

Kajang police chief Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yusoff said police was alerted by the hotel staff about 2pm after the victim failed to check out at 12pm.

"Policemen found the woman's body face down on the bed and fully clothed, as soon as they opened the door.

"Preliminary investigations showed three slash wounds at the back of the victim's head," he said when met at the scene.

Ahmad Dzaffir said based on record, the woman checked into the hotel on Sunday.

"We are trying to ascertain the victim's identity and track down the attacker.

"The body was sent to the Serdang Hospital for post-mortem. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, " he said.
