Najib’s Last Few Days Of Freedom

The signal from Mahathir and Muhyiddin is very clear indeed. Najib is on his last few days of freedom. Next week he will be arrested and charged in court and if they can deny him bail, like they did with Anwar Ibrahim in 1998, Najib will spend the next year or two under remand while he faces trial.

(Bernama) – Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak will be charged in court soon, said Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Mahathir said the authorities were currently investigating and gathering strong evidence on the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) as well as the murder case of the Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu.
“I think he (Najib) will be brought to the court soon,” he said during a meeting with Malaysians in Indonesia in conjunction with his official visit to the country today. On Altantuya murder case, he said a retrial would be held.

(Bernama) – It is time to take legal action now that the items seized from the homes linked to former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak have already been valued by the police and experts.
Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said with the items valued at RM1.1 billion, there is a need to pursue legal action which must be carried out by the Task Force that Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had formed to bring the wrongful parties to justice.
“Whatever happens next, legal action needs to be taken, and it must not take too long since the taskforce is there to resolve issues related to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) and SRC International Sdn Bhd (SRC).”
