The police have been urged to investigate the influx of foreign workers, especially those without proper documentation.
Parti Ekonomi Rakyat Malaysia (Perkira) president Mohd Ridzuan Abdullah, who filed a report on the matter this morning, wanted the police to investigate former home minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Speaking to reporters after lodging the report with the Dang Wangi district police headquarters, he said that the agents involved must also be investigated.
Ridzuan, who is also president of Ikhlas, said since 2012, the NGO has lodged numerous police reports and sent memorandums to the government on the issue of foreign workers and illegal immigrants.
However, he said the previous government had failed to resolve this issue.
The Perkira president also said that he is willing to furnish evidence to the MACC on this matter.
"We are willing to cooperate with MACC and provide evidence. We challenge MACC to summon us.
"I have also sent a letter to the new Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin on the issue," he told reporters. - Mkini
