Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo has offered a platform for the Umno party presidential debate between Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Khairy Jamaluddin.
"There's no problem (on providing the platform). Yesterday Tengku Razaleigh, while on air, challenged Zahid and Khairy to a debate. It's up to Zahid and Khairy to accept the challenge.
"If the platform is needed, then I will bring this matter to RTM's attention," he said in a press conference at Precinct 4, Putrajaya today.
In an interview with Astro Awani yesterday, Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh had challenged acting president Zahid and Youth chief Khairy to a party presidential debate.
The three are contenders vying for the Umno's top post in the June 30 party elections.
"If I dare to step up and explain (issues), the others should also join in, and likewise explain themselves," Tengku Razaleigh had said. - Mkini
