Bung to be referred to privileges committee over F-word?

A motion to refer Kinabatangan MP Bung Moktar Radin to the parliamentary privileges committee will be debated in Dewan Rakyat tomorrow.
According to a Parliament notice given to MPs tonight, his conduct of uttering an obscene word in the august House had offended other lawmakers and also smeared the prestige of Parliament.
Although the said notice did not specify the exact nature of Bung's offence, it is believed to pertain to Bung firing a four-letter wordtwice in the Dewan Rakyat on Aug 7 while debating the Sales Tax Bill 2018.
The Sabah Umno deputy chief, known for making controversial remarks, uttered the “F-word” word twice after Willie Mongin (Harapan-Puncak Borneo) questioned if he had gone to a casino.

Bung has since retracted the words but received a final warning letter from Dewan Rakyat speaker Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof over his conduct.
Tomorrow's motion, to be presented by Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin, says that Bung's rude conduct had offended fellow parliamentarians, especially females, and had smeared the House's prestige and good name.
"Therefore it has been agreed that YB Bung Moktar Radin, the Kinabatangan MP, be referred to the parliamentary privileges committee over his conduct deemed insulting to the House." - Mkini
