D-DAY HAS COME FOR ‘F*** YOU’ BUNG MOKTAR – APOLOGY OR NOT, ‘BEYOND SHOCK’ MP MUST BE PUNISHED TO THE MAXIMUM: WITH WEAK SPEAKERS IN THE HOUSE WHO DARE NOT SUSPEND HIM – PARLIAMENT MIGHT AS WELL CLOSE SHOP & BECOME A CIRCUS

KUALA LUMPUR 07 MAC 2018. Ahli Parlimen Kinabatangan, Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin ketika sesi perbahasan di Dewan Rakyat. NSTP/MUHD ZAABA ZAKERIA
Stop the rot, not merely retract obscenities
It is beyond shock. How can we honest, value~centric citizens live with the slew of obscenities and profanities all unfolding in the August House of Parliament?
Today we hear of the universally unacceptable ‘four letter’ word flying across the parliament.
And all seems to have ended well with a mere “I retract” by the MP.
What kind of leaders are we consecration in this nation? What values are we sowing into the future of this nation?
Are we saying that profanities and obscenities freely traded within the immunity providing Parliament is fine?
No matter how angry or frustrated an MP can be, it is his or her moral and categorical duty to argue, convince the house and stand tall with admiration from both sides of the divide.
When MPs fail with some even being celebrated as a no~holds~barred loose Canon icons, it gives citizens a hopeless and devadtated feeling.
This outburst of foul, four~letter words must be condemned as severely as is humanly dignified.
Or else, let shame and disrespect destroy this country in its long haul.  -J. D. Lovrenciear

Bung retracts the ‘F word’ in Parliament

.
KUALA LUMPUR – Kinabatangan lawmaker Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin (pic) has retracted the “F word” he used in the House earlier in the day.
This came after Ipoh Timur MP Wong Kah Woh and several other Pakatan Harapan lawmakers had asked deputy speaker Mohd Rashid Hasnon to reprimand the Barisan Nasional lawmaker.
Bung then retracted the word. However, that did not stop him from throwing another curveball.
“I agree, it is not a polite word so I retract it. I did not direct it to anyone, but I have seen Puncak Borneo (Willie Mongin) have drinks with perempuan pelacur (hookers) as well,” said Bung.
More chaos interrupted when Pakatan lawmakers demanded the deputy speaker make a ruling under Standing Order 44 (2) and eject Bung to uphold the sanctity of the august House.
Mohd Rashid then said he has already asked Bung to retract his words
“I have made the ruling, that he has to retract the word, but if he uses it for the second time then I will use Standing Order 44 and eject him,” said Mohd Rashid. However,
Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee (BN-Beluran) raised a point and said that Mohd Rashid make a similar ruling against Willie for provoking Bung.
Rasah MP Cha Kee Chin said that Bung should be booted out.
Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Mohd Said (BN-Kuala Krau) rebutted and said that Willie’s statement was clearly directed towards Bung.
“I heard Kinabatangan’s speech earlier when he said he went to the market to monitor the prices, but Puncak Borneo then interrupted and said ‘did you go to the market or the casino’.
“If that did not refer to Kinabatangan then who did it refer to?” he questioned.
To this, Mohd Rashid said Bung has already retracted his statement but was unable to make a ruling against Willie, who was not in the House at that time.
Earlier before lunch break, chaos erupted in the House as Bung lost his cool and used the four-letter word.
The incident happened as Khairy Jamaluddin (BN-Rembau) interjected Bung during his debate to ask a question on the Sales and Services Tax. – – ANN
