Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak was summoned to the MACC's Kuala Lumpur headquarters in Jalan Duta this evening.
It is understood that Najib would be served a notice to face fresh charges tomorrow.
Najib arrived at the MACC office, which is located near his house on Langgak Duta, at about 5pm.
Prosecutors are expected to file several charges under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 against the former premier.
At the time of writing, it is uncertain if Najib would be subjected to the usual MACC practice of being detained overnight before being brought to court.
"There will be no arrest unless there are further instructions in the late evening," said a MACC source.
