DAP chairperson Tan Kok Wai said it was "unhealthy" for Pakatan Harapan component parties, including his own party, to accept former Umno MPs.
His comment came two days after Umno veteran Mustapa Mohamed, who is the Jeli MP, joined Bersatu. Mustapa quit Umno on Sept 18.
"DAP is unsure if there will be more Umno MPs joining Harapan component parties, including DAP.
"However, we do not encourage such act of accepting party hoppers as it is unhealthy, especially when it is not even six months since the last general election," he was quoted as saying by Berita Harian.
However, he said Bersatu will be selective in choosing any former Umno MPs who want to join the party. - Mkini
