PKR POLLS | PKR deputy president incumbent Azmin Ali has retaken the lead after a landslide victory in the third and final round of voting in Selangor.
According to unofficial results, Azmin garnered a total of 4,138 votes to rival Rafizi Ramli's 2,097 votes from the five divisions in Selangor that voted.
They were Tanjong Karang, Ampang, Pandan, Shah Alam and Hulu Langat. The election in Kuala Selangor was postponed due to technical difficulties.
This translated to 66.37 percent of the votes for Azmin and 33.63 percent for Rafizi for the round three of voting in Selangor
Rafizi won the position of Pandan division chief but lost in the division for the position of deputy president there. He received 508 votes compared to Azmin's 715 votes.
To date, Azmin had garnered 59.64 percent of the votes in Selangor or 18,453 votes compared to Rafizi's 15,045 votes or 40.36 percent.
In terms of the nationwide tally, Azmin is now ahead with 45,347 votes against Rafizi's 43,785 votes.
Rafizi was briefly ahead yesterday after scoring a landslide win in Perak but this was neutralised following Azmin's strong showing in the last round of voting in Selangor.
Perak had provided Rafizi with a 2,341-vote advantage after he won 61 percent of the votes there or 6,700 votes compared to Azmin's 4,359 votes or 39 percent.
