VIGNESWARAN SHOULD BE ARRESTED AND CHARGED IMMEDIATELY FOR FLOUTING SECURITY PROTOCOLS AT KLIA.

Ordinary Malaysians are getting fed-up with the attitude of some so-called "VIPs" for not obeying procedures and protocols.

Today we were told that Dewan Negara President cum MIC President Tan Sri S.A. Vigneswaran had worn only sandals while going into the VIP lounge at the KLIA.

This is a total breach of security protocols and a violation of the dress code for VIP's using VIP lane at KLIA.

It was reported that the incident happened at 10.14pm on 14 November 2018.

It was further reported that CCTV footage of the incident released by the authorities shows that Vigneswaran did not stop after been told by the officers stationed at the VIP lane, was seen wearing sandals while he proceeded downstairs to the VIP lobby area before heading to the departure gates.

A woman security officer who attended to Vigneswaran had politely told and showed him the government circular on the dress code requirements but Vigneswaran had 'shouted' at her and ignored her and proceeded to walk into the VIP lane.

It is very clear that Vigneswaran had trespassed security requirement, when he went through the VIP lane, without showing his security pass even after the security officer demanding him to do so.

It is time the PH government takes a stern action against Vigneswaran, by arresting and charging him in Court for breaching security procedures and protocols.

His action is very unbecoming of a President of the Dewan Negara, and senators of the Dewan Negara should vote to expel him from the President's post immediately. Being a legal man, Vigneswaran should have uphold security procedures at all times and uphold and respected the law.

It is very clear that Vigneswaran had encroached upon the area and possibly violated the Protected Areas and Protected Places Act 1959, and the law prescribes an offender a two-year prison sentence, and/or  RM1,000 fine or both.

We Malaysians wish to see JUSTICE IS CARRIED OUT FAIRLY AND EQUALLY and the authorities need to arrest and charge Vigneswaran in Court immediately  while he should be given a severe sentence for not adhering to security protocols in a Protected Area and also for his bad behaviour towards the security personnel. - Mohd Kamal Abdullah
