KUALA LUMPUR: The setting up of the National Economic Action Council (NEAC) is in the right direction, says MCA deputy president Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon (pic).
"However, private sector representatives are glaringly absent from the line-up.
"Where are the entrepreneurs and where are the digital experts, which should be part of our new economy," he said.
He regretted the line-up comprised mainly ministers and a former minister, saying it lacked freshness and spark.
Dr Mah said old formulas would not worked in the present economy headwinds.
He hoped additional members would be appointed to provide fresh impetus.- Star
