My degree is legitimate, says Najib

Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak today denied that he had not completed his studies at UK's Nottingham University in the 1970s.

"No problem," he said when met at Putrajaya today. "Of course my degree is legitimate,” he said.
Najib, who has criticised Pakatan Harapan leaders for alleged false academic credentials, said this after he found himself the target of the same accusations.
Earlier today, DAP Keranji state assemblyperson Chong Zhemin claimed that Najib did not complete his studies at Nottingham University.
Najib had also urged Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo to get to the bottom of the purportedly inaccurate academic qualifications listed for several ministers.
The former premier's Facebook post came after several ministers and a state leader admitted that they were not graduates – nor had they claimed to be – of the universities listed in a series of infographics produced by national news agency Bernama.
Along with his post, Najib attached the infographics for Perak menteri besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu, Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin and Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu.
In response, Bernama editor-in-chief Zakaria Wahab said the agency obtained the information from "news reports and from the records of the ministers' respective parties." - Mkini
