It seems that there are talks that the main reason for introducing Khat writing in the Standard 4 Bahasa Melayu textbook is for the publisher and printers to make a huge profit and kickbacks that would be received by the people concern at the expense of the poor rakyat who are struggling to meet their ends with the hikes in essential foodstuff and others.
If the subject is going to be just an elective one and taught at the discretion of the headmasters and teachers, wouldn't it be a waste of money and time to publish and print a new textbook so that the parents are forced to purchase this new textbook for their Standard 4 Bahasa Melayu school pupils.
The relevant authorities must commence investigation immediately to see if there is profit motive and corruption in the introduction of khat writing in the Standard 4 Bahasa Melayu textbooks.

Since the MOE confirms that the KHAT only takes up 4 pages of the text book, then strictly, there's NO NEED to reprint the entire text book, just print that 4(or say 8 pages) only and charge those few pages ; better still let the respective sch teachers to photocopy those few pages for free distribution to the students.
ReplyDeleteTypo:just print those 4(or say 8 pages)...
ReplyDeleteIf just print the Khat then how to get a cut from the publisher and printer? This cut is more important than the real Khat.
ReplyDeleteWell said. Fantaastica!
