Najib: Sniper fired shots at my Pekan office in 2017

Najib Abdul Razak has made the stunning revelation that a sniper fired a shot at his office in his constituency of Pekan in early 2017.
Relating the incident at the Hard Truth: Cash is King forum at the Umno headquarters in Kuala Lumpur tonight, the former premier claimed the sniper's shot struck the side of a mirror in his room.
“It seemed like a warning to me. The shots were aimed at my room in the Pekan Umno office," he told the audience.
Najib said he was not there when the purported shooting took place.

"I have never disclosed this incident. But since then, security has been tightened for me," he said, adding that he saw it as a warning.
“Being a prime minister is not easy. There are many protocols. There is a UTK (Special Forces Unit) and many other things that come with it."
A report was lodged on the incident, Najib later told reporters, but police were not able to find who was responsible.
"Yes, a police report was made. But the police could not find who did it. The case was classified as NFA (no further action)."
On a separate matter, Najib said the appointment of new members to the BN advisory board that he chairs is still under discussion.
“The appointment is still under discussion. We will tell you later," he said when asked about its composition.
Najib also confirmed that no PAS members would be appointed to the board.
“PAS will not be appointed. This is BN only. PAS is not part of BN." - Mkini
