Tree cores, ice cores from the Antarctic/Arctic, from glaciers, fossilised sedimentary deposits etc provide an accurate snapshot of what the climate was thousands of years ago. That is what the guy in the video is talking about.
But there is a very huge difference between establishing a trend line or pattern using proven historical data versus speculating what will be the local temperature 100 years from now.
The reality is that today despite all the wizardry of modern science the weather forecast cannot go beyond seven days. The weather forecast is not even accurate for tomorrow. Google Weather says there is a "60% chance of rain at 7am in KL tomorrow Thurs 11 Nov 2021." Lets see.
There is another mega-global warming conference going on in Glasgow right now. It has become another round of China bashing.
However some clever folks are taking advantage of the "anger" to attract aid (meaning cash) to their countries. Here is a Minister from one of the Pacific coral islands countries (Please note : It is coral islands) making an appeal to the rich countries in attendance in Glasgow.
Err...and the Maldives have NOT sunk yet.
