It's up to Noh whether to join PN, says Azmin

Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) doors are always open to any political figure who wishes to join the coalition, including the ex-Umno leader Noh Omar, says Selangor PN chief Azmin Ali.

“It's up to Noh (above) if he wants to join PN. In the current political climate, we need the support of all parties and I believe Noh has extensive experience in the struggle while he was in Umno.

“He is among those who dared to speak out against the shortcomings and misdeeds within Umno and the way forward.

“We leave it to Noh and are ready to accept anyone who wants to join PN,” he said at the Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house hosted by Gombak Setia assemblyperson Hilman Idham today.

Azmin said this when asked about Noh’s presence at the event.

However, Noh declined to comment when asked whether he intends to join PN.

Umno had sacked Noh for purportedly violating the party’s constitution.

Noh, who was Umno’s Selangor chief, subsequently declared he would contest in the upcoming Selangor state election under the PN ticket.

However, the former Tanjung Karang MP did not reveal which party would he represent.
