Tasek Gelugor MP Wan Saiful Wan Jan has been told to mind his own business rather than commenting on the affairs of other parties.
The reminder came from DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke after the Bersatu leader claimed that there are plans to replace Penang chief minister Chow Kon Yeow with Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim.
"Is Wan Saiful the secretary-general of DAP? To decide who our candidate is?
"I think it's better for him to mind his own business instead of interfering in other people's affairs," Loke, who is the transport minister, told reporters in Penang today.
This was in response to a claim by Wan Saiful that there are attempts to make Sim contest a state seat in the upcoming state election.
"It is learned that this is to replace Penang chief minister because Chow has failed to lead the state.
"Whoever becomes the chief minister, I believe Penangites will know that DAP will forever be DAP," wrote Wan Saiful, without providing any evidence to back his claim.
In his speech at a recent campaigning event in Jerlun, Kedah, Wan Saiful also alleged that the chief minister's replacement plan has caused rifts within DAP. - Mkini
