PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional is aiming for a clean sweep in Kelantan as the coalition looks to retain the East Coast state in the coming polls.
Kelantan PN deputy chairman II Amar Nik Abdullah said the last general election results proved that such a goal was possible. Last year, PN won all 14 parliamentary seats.
It also showed the amount of support PN had in Kelantan.
“The aim is not just to defend Kelantan, but to win all 45 seats.
“We are not overconfident, but we have confidence in the people,” he said before announcing the coalition’s candidates in Kelantan tonight.
PAS will contest the lion’s share of seats with 39 and Bersatu will contest in the remaining six constituencies.
The coalition will use the PAS logo for the election. - FMT
