That article was written by one Lord Simon Isaacs 81 years old, who is a member of the House of Lords and a hereditary peer (because he is the Marquess of Reading). He is not Jewish but Simon Isaacs has in 2021 applied to become an Israeli citizen.
Hereditary peer means he inherited the title Marquess of Reading from his father, who inherited the peerage from his grandfather and before that from his great grandfather. This is true-blue-blooded peerage.
What this means is that Lord Simon Isaacs has "pedigree". If you are a dog lover you may know about your dog's pedigree. But Malaysians may not appreciate what "pedigree" means in super class conscious UK and Europe. 'Pedigree' means a lot to them. It is the family lineage and family history. And money. These people are the super wealthy and super influential class.
I was wondering why would an 81 year old hereditary peer of the House of Lords write such a detailed article basically calling Malaysia a supporter of terrorism. Be careful with these folks. They can make our lives miserable.
