Cops discover missing woman's body in Kuala Selangor

Police discovered the body of a woman who was reported missing since Jan 29 inside a car near Pantai Remis, Kuala Selangor, earlier today.

Kuala Selangor district police chief Azaharudin Tajudin said the body was discovered at about 2am by officers patrolling the area.

“The body was found inside a locked car in the parking area of Pantai Remis, with all four doors secured from the inside. Police sought assistance from the Fire and Rescue Department to retrieve the body.

“Checks confirmed that the deceased was the individual reported missing on Jan 31 in Damansara. The victim was last seen by her family at 10am on Jan 29,” he said in a statement today.

Azaharudin added that an initial examination found no physical injuries or signs of foul play. The body has been sent to Tanjong Karang Hospital to determine the exact cause of death.

He urged anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward to the nearest police station or contact the Kuala Selangor district police headquarters operations room at 03-32891222.

The case has been classified as a sudden death report (SDR).

Previously, Petaling Jaya district police deputy chief M Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly said the 34-year-old victim had left her home in a car on Jan 29 before being reported missing two days later.
