Johor PKR Youth vice-chief Faezuddin Puad backed Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary Kamil Abdul Munim’s candidacy for the party youth chief post.
“I believe PKR Youth needs to be led by a leader who is courageous, high in integrity, and has a good track record.
“Therefore, I urge all PKR Youth members across the nation to unite and give full support to Kamil in the upcoming party polls,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Faezuddin said that Kamil (above), currently the PKR Youth deputy chief, played an instrumental role in strengthening the party’s organisation and machinery.
“I’m confident the majority of Johor PKR leadership would back Kamil’s candidacy as PKR Youth chief in the upcoming party elections,” he added.
Yesterday, Kamil was reported as saying that he was mulling the party grassroots’ calls for him to contest for the PKR Youth chief post in the party polls scheduled in May.
Incumbent PKR Youth chief Adam Adli Abdul Halim earlier said he may be gunning for a PKR supreme council post.

“My term as PKR Youth chief would expire this year as I have passed the age threshold,” said the deputy youth and sports minister. - FMT
