Razman: Thanks for the video Rafizi, what about fund outflows?

Perak PAS commissioner Razman Zakaria has called on Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli to release a video explaining the net foreign fund outflow from Malaysia.

He also sarcastically thanked Rafizi for posting a video about him on social media yesterday.

“Thank you, Rafizi, for being willing to make a special video for Pakteh (Razman).

“While you’re at it, how about making a special video about the net foreign fund outflow of RM3.7 billion sold by foreign investors?” Razman (above) said on Facebook.

Earlier today, former BN strategic communications deputy director Eric See-To claimed on Facebook that RM3.7 billion had left Malaysia so far in 2025, compared to RM4.2 billion in 2024 and RM2.4 billion in 2023.

According to a Bernama report, MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Berhad (MIDF) revealed that foreign investors have been selling equities on Bursa Malaysia for the 16th consecutive week.

Meanwhile, in Rafizi’s video, the Pandan MP suggested that PAS leaders who falsely accuse DAP lawmakers of being relatives of people they are not related to might amount to spreading hate.

Recently, Razman claimed that Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh was the daughter of YTL founder Yeoh Tiong Lay. While Razman has apologised for the mistake, Hannah is threatening to sue him.

Controversial claims

In his post, Razman also questioned why Hannah was suing him and claimed she was doing so not due to the name error but because he linked her to Christianisation.

“Hannah did not sue Pakteh over a mistake in her patronymic but for linking her to Christianisation propaganda. So, what do you think - why?” he added.

This is not the first time the Gunung Semanggol assemblyperson has made controversial claims about DAP leaders.

Last year, he was forced to apologise to Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming for falsely linking the Teluk Intan MP to a procession where Chinese delegates waved their national flag.

In 2023, he was ordered to pay damages to DAP chairperson Lim Guan Eng and former Perak menteri besar Nizar Jamaluddin after losing defamation lawsuits in 2017.

During a campaign speech in 2023, another PAS lawmaker, Siti Mastura Muhammad, alleged that DAP national chairperson Lim Guan Eng and his father, Kit Siang, were connected to Communist Party of Malaysia leader Chin Peng and that Seputeh MP Teresa Kok were related to the Lims.

Kit Siang, Guan Eng, and Kok sued her for defamation and won, though she is appealing the decision. - Mkini
