Sultan Ibrahim returns after undergoing medical treatment overseas

PETALING JAYA: 

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim returned to Malaysia this morning after going overseas to receive medical treatment two weeks ago.

In a statement on Sultan Ibrahim’s official Facebook page, Istana Negara said his plane landed at the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) base in Subang at 7am.

The palace said the king had also expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Malaysians for their prayers and well-wishes.

“His Majesty extends his sincere gratitude to all Malaysians who prayed for his good health and recovery,” the statement read.

Sultan Ibrahim left Malaysia on Feb 7, accompanied by his sons, Tunku Abdul Rahman and Tunku Abu Bakar.

He was later reported to have successfully undergone conservative treatment for musculoskeletal pain.

In a statement on Feb 18, Istana Negara attributed the condition to the king’s intensive military training and active lifestyle, particularly his passion for polo during his younger years. - FMT
