4 injured in Sabak Bernam firecracker blaze

PETALING JAYA: 

Four men were injured after a fire broke out shortly past midnight at a stall selling firecrackers in Kampung Batu, Sabak Bernam.

Selangor fire and rescue department assistant director (operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said a distress call was received at 1.08am.

A team of firefighters was dispatched to the scene, but by the time they arrived, the fire had already been extinguished.

“One victim suffered severe injuries to his legs and right hand, while the other three sustained minor injuries,” he said in a statement.

“The victims were handed over to medical personnel from the health ministry for further treatment.” - FMT
