PUTRAJAYA: Full enforcement of the Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) requirement for foreign-registered vehicles entering Malaysia from Singapore by land will begin on July 1, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said Wednesday (June 4).
In February, he said the government would fix a date for the enforcement and announce it before implementation.
“The VEP system was started last year but in terms of enforcement, we are (still) using a soft approach by giving reminders and notices," he had said. - Star
