PAS’ party polls in Perlis saw those aligned to Perlis Menteri Besar Shukri Ramli getting defeated.
Starting with Shukri (above) himself, he failed to wrest the Arau division chief post from incumbent Solahhudin Azmi - who is also Perlis PAS election director.
Another person aligned to Shukri, Razali Saad, lost his Arau PAS vice-chief post to Nur Yusairy Mansor. Razali is also a member of the Perlis state executive council.
Perlis state assembly speaker Russele Eizan failed to retain his position as Arau PAS deputy chief, being defeated by an ordinary member, Ridzuan Hashim.
Russele also serves as Perlis Perikatan Nasional vice-chairperson II. However, it is unclear if he aligned with Shukri.
In May last year, Shukri’s son, Syafeeq, was charged in the Kangar Sessions Court with submitting false claims of RM19,505.10.
According to Bernama, the 35-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read before judge Norsalha Hamzah.
He was charged with submitting a document, “Pesanan Kerajaan (Bekalan/Perkhidmatan) Kerajaan Negeri Perlis”, containing a false claim to Nurul Nabilah Mohd Sukri, an administrative assistant at the District Administration Division, Perlis State Secretary’s Office, on Feb 19 this year with an intent to deceive. - Mkini
