Actually , in my opinion , the best thing you can offer to someone (if you don't know what to offer) is money.

Why?

Simple: It's a win-win situation , because you offered her/him something , and you don't have to risk to give him/her a present the he/she doesn't like. People can do whatever they want with their money. Want a game? Sure. Book? Absolutely. Clothes? Go ahead.

The only thing that can reduce the buying options of him/her , is the quantity of money you give him/her.

If I offered money to someone , it would be something like RM50 to RM200, but with money at hand he/she can also save in the bank instead of wasting it on gift items.

 

Concluding , giving money to someone as a present is sweet.
