THE LIFTS bank in the Kota kinabalu Queen Elizabeth Hospital 2 (QEH2) had a malfunction on the 4th morning which caused much inconvenience to the patients and visitors to upper floors of the building.
When the KKMP Hiew King Cheu received the complaints during his CNY walkabout, he immediately went to QEH2 to inspect the lifts and he found some of the lifts were back into working order. The lifts were actually all out of order due to reason unknown according to the staff there.
Anyhow, MP Hiew wants the hospital to be more careful and should check and maintain the lifts regularly to avoid any mishap, especially this is a hospital. The sick patients and visitors could not climb the staircases, and the patients will get more sick eventually.
The lifts in QEH2 are extensively used every day and therefore these lifts have to receive more rounds of service and maintenance. We cannot have any mishaps arising here.
