Divorce case implicating ex-top politician in affair postponed

The Kuala Lumpur Family Court has postponed the divorce proceedings between a former deputy public prosecutor and his wife concerning her alleged affair with a former top politician.
The matter involving Stanley Clement Augustin and one Nika Gee Siew Yee was slated to be heard today.
However, NST Online reported that the matter was vacated as revealed by the cause list (list of cases) outside the court this morning.
The report also stated that no confirmed date has been fixed for next case management before judge Siti Mariah Ahmad and that based on the list, Gee has no lawyer acting for her at present.
Meanwhile, Augustin is represented by Messrs Maha & Peri.
Blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin posted an alleged statutory declaration (SD) by Augustin which implicated former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin in the case.
The document published on Raja Petra’s blog Malaysia Today claimed that Muhyiddin’s wife was aware of this alleged affair.

The SD further claimed that Gee met Muhyiddin overseas and had received financial and material benefit from the latter.
Raja Petra said since the anti-Najib camp including Muhyiddin had said that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak should sue if allegations of corruption against him were untrue, Muhyiddin should likewise sue over this allegation of an affair.
Muhyiddin, however, has dismissed the allegation as baseless and malicious.
“All the allegations are malicious slander and spread only to destroy my integrity and smells of dirty politics, what more being done in this holy month of Ramadan,” he claimed.
Augustin has since remained tightlipped on the issue. - Mkini
