PARLIAMENT | Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak flew a total of 181 times on the government's executive jet between 2014 and 2016, according to a parliamentary written reply by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Azalina Othman.
This was followed by the Agong at 89 times and the deputy prime minister at 10 times during the same period.
Azalina was responding to a question from PKR's Kelana Jaya MP Wong Chen who asked how many times the Agong, prime minister and deputy prime minister had used the government jet.
"In the overall, a total of 280 flights were made by the government's executive jet for the use of the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, prime minister and deputy prime minister throughout the period," Azalina said.
The written reply did not state which deputy prime minister used the government jet.
Muhyiddin Yassin was deputy prime minister until July 2015 and was succeeded by Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
The most commonly used government aircraft have been the Airbus Corporate Jet 319 (ACJ319) and the Airbus Corporate Jet 320 (ACJ320).
The government also has smaller planes in its fleet, including a Falcon and a Global Express. - Mkini
