Media reports say a fire ripped through the world's tallest residential building in Dubai on Friday.
PUTRAJAYA: Five Malaysians who are residents at The Torch Tower, Dubai, are safe following the blaze that struck the tower at 12.45am local time on Friday, the foreign affairs ministry confirmed.
In a statement, Wisma Putra said Malaysians in need of consular assistance are encouraged to contact the Consulate General of Malaysia in Dubai at 83 Street 10D, Mankhool, Bur Dubai, P.O. Box 4598, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, or via phone +971-4-3985 843 or by email mwdubai@kln.gov.my
“The foreign affairs ministry conveys its deepest sympathy towards the victims involved in this incident,” it said.
It was reported a fire ripped through the world’s tallest residential building in Dubai on Friday.
Authorities said residents staying at the 86-storey Torch Tower were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported. It was the second blaze at the building since 2015. - FMT
