Arrested: Father and grandfather who have been raping girl since she was eight

KAMPAR: The father and grandfather of a 13-year-old girl have been arrested for allegedly raping her.

Kampar OCPD Superintendent Hasron Nazri Hashim said a report was made by the girl’s mother on Saturday (Jan 5), and that both men had been raping her since 2013 when she was just eight years old.

He said the incidences were believed to have taken place at several locations in Malim Nawar.

“The girl has told her mother everything before lodging a police report.

“The victim was then sent to Kampar Hospital for checks,” he said in a statement on Monday (Jan 7).

“The hospital medical officer who conducted the check on her said there were old tears on her private part.

“Further checks was conducted by a gynaecologist from Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital that shows the tears were believed to be caused by a blunt object like a penis,” he added.

Supt Hasron Nazri said the case would be investigated under Section 376B of the Penal Code for incest.

He added that both men would be remanded until Jan 12 to facilitate investigation.- Star
