Although BN propaganda claims BN victory but reliable sources from the ground reveal that the Harapan candidate M Manogaran is expected to WIN in the Cameron Highlands parliamentary by-elections tomorrow.
Polling day is fixed for tomorrow, Saturday 26 January 2019. Election results will be know tomorrow night.
It is expected that outstation voters will come in big numbers to support their favorite candidate from DAP/Harapan although BN leaders deny by claiming outstation voters mainly Chinese and Indians voters will skip this election.
Even the local Malays and Orang Asli voters are expected to caste their votes for the DAP/Harapan candidate in anticipation of greater development and progress for Cameron Highlands since Pakatan Harapan is the current ruling government.
Barisan Nasional seem to be using their usual dirty tactics and have even resorted to threatening local farmers on their TOL land titles to secure voters.
BN has even used the firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim death issue that "DAP Hindus were the cause of his death" but reliable sources claim that the "fire-engine ran over him while reversing causing his death after a month in hospital". Barisan Nasional campaign seem to focus on racial sentiments to secure the Malay voters but the local Malays seem not to be buying into their lies.
Another issue is choosing an Orang Asli candidate Ramli Mohd Noor, a retired Senior Police officer to represent the Barisan Nasional. UMNO/BN is desperately trying to hoodwink the Orang Asli community by selecting an Orang Asli candidate but election promises to uplift the Orang Asli community made by BN from previous elections were never fulfilled.
Even if BN wins, it is status quo maintained and the Cameron Highlands residents can expect no development or improvement since BN is no longer the ruling party.
It is predicted a surprise DAP/Harapan victory is expected tomorrow night. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
