Kit Siang: Better ‘Minister of Najib Affairs’ than ‘King of Trolls’

CAMERON HIGHLANDS: “Minister of Najib Affairs” is a better title than “King of Trolls”, says DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang when asked to respond to former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s jibe that Lim was “obsessed” with him.
“I think there are people who think we should not talk about Najib now – forget about 1MDB (1Malaysia Development Berhad), global kleptocracy; that’s why he can hope to have a Najib ‘comeback’ agenda,” he said.
The DAP veteran said it was important to remain concerned about the former prime minister and the 1MDB and kleptocracy issues surrounding him, in order to ensure that he did not succeed in returning as prime minister.
“This is a very diabolical and devilish plan to tell people to clear the decks, and say ‘Alright it's in court, let the court decide. Forget about it, don’t talk about it.’
“I don’t think Malaysians should fall into that trap, and should ask Najib (questions).
“Although he has come back to campaign in Cameron Highlands, he has not said a word about 1MDB, Goldman Sachs and all that. What is his stand?” Lim said on Thursday in a Cameron Highlands by-election campaign event.
Although it was pointed out that currently Pakatan Harapan was the coalition holding the reins of the federal government and Najib's chances of making a comeback were not realistic, Lim countered by saying that it was possible that Najib could return as prime minister in the 15th general election.
“There will be a union between PAS and Umno, and all the secondary parties,” he said, referring to Barisan Nasional component parties.
Najib had proclaimed himself “King of Trolls”, having devoted his energy towards using social media and trolling political opponents.
He claimed it was his way of fighting back daily online, with “facts” instead of “lies”.- Star
