PAHANG MB WAN ROSDY - THREATENS VOTERS IN CAMERON HIGHLANDS - WHY IS HE NOT ARRESTED AND CHARGED

The Menteri Besar of Pahang, Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail had been found exerting undue influence ahead of polling day this Saturday 26 January 2019, which is in violation of the Election Rules.

It was disclosed that Wan Rosdy had threatened the farming community, mostly Chinese and Indians on the security of their land tenure, which is of great importance to the farmers as their livelihood depends on it.

Wan Rosdy was reported to have told an audience after officiating a hall in Tien Hou Temple, Habu last Monday that he can't promise anything with regards to the Temporary Occupation Licences, except that the local farmers will enjoy a better condition compared to their present circumstances.

"I hope you all understand that we are all friends. We want to help....but you too must help, if we help each other that is even better."

"Don't we all want Cameron Highlands to be good and free from problems? If there are problems, we can talk about it", he was quoted as saying by a news portal that was covering the event.

Wan Rosdy was then reportedly urged the Cameron Highlands voters to support the Barisan Nasional candidate on polling day this Saturday 26 January 2019 since land matters are under the State government's jurisdiction which is under BN/UMNO.

Pahang MB Wan Rosdy's remarks could be deemed as undue influence, an election offence under Section 9 of the Election Offences Act (EOA) 1954 or even an abuse of power as defined under Section 23(1) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act 2009.

Wan Rosdy should be immediately be arrested and charged in Court for his unwarranted statements. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah.
