Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub (above) has called on PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang to publicly name the "leader in Pakatan Harapan" who supposedly said Amanah was a tool of DAP.
"I think it would be good for Hadi to name who this (Harapan) leader is.
"I take responsibility on this issue and I do not want PAS to continuously lie to the rakyat.
"I hope this can be done as soon as possible to avoid accusations," Salahuddin told reporters outside the Dewan Rakyat today.
He said Hadi should be prepared to prove his claim since he dared to make it in the first place.
If Hadi could back up his accusation, then Salahuddin said he and his party would then take measures to verify the truth.
The PAS president had yesterday said that DAP had continuously worked to undermine PAS' influence in the country.
To achieve this goal, DAP had formed Amanah, he claimed.
"This isn't me saying it. A leader from Harapan itself said this but I do not want to say their name.
"This leader admitted that Amanah was just a party tool," Hadi reportedly said in his speech at the Ketereh PAS annual general meeting last night. - Mkini
