Broadcasting the trial of former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, which commences on April 3, risks turning the proceedings into a circus, Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said today.
"We don't want to make it a circus, let the law take its course," she told reporters at KL Sentral today.
Wan Azizah was responding to netizens' efforts to revive a nine-month-old Change.orgpetition calling for a live telecast of the former premier's trial.
Najib himself has said he is all for the trial of his 10 SRC International Sdn Bhd-related charges being broadcast to the public.
