‘DING DONG’ RM90 MILLION HADI SWINGS BACK TO DEFEND MAHATHIR – ‘HE’S NOT A DICTATOR, HE IS BEING FIRM’: WHILE PAS ACCUSED OF BEING AN UMNO STOOGE FOR JUMPING ON THE ‘LET’S DEMONIZE DAP TO THE MALAYS’ BANDWAGON

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang believes Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad is not a dictator.
Instead, he believes it is in Mahathir’s nature to be firm, especially to errant cabinet members.
“I want to comment about statements claiming Mahathir is a dictator. He is not. He is being firm.
“He was chosen democratically in an election, and also by Pakatan Harapan. He didn’t appoint himself,” Hadi told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.
He said that if Mahathir was firm with cabinet members, it does not reflect dictatorial tendencies.
“A leader has to be strict when addressing cabinet members who don’t perform,” Hadi said.

Hadi was referring to Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah Anwar’s (photo) recent interview with Singapore daily The Straits Times, where she had referred to Mahathir as a “former dictator”.
Hadi also refused to name the Harapan leader whom he claimed had complained about Amanah being a “tool” of the DAP.
“The public can see for themselves. I don’t need to judge,” he said.
When pressed further, Hadi again replied: “The people can see for themselves.”
Hadi had told a ceramah in Kota Bharu on Sunday that Amanah’s reason for existence was to serve as a DAP tool to curb PAS.
“I didn’t say this. A Harapan leader said this, but I will not name the person.
“That leader admitted that Amanah is only DAP’s tool,” Hadi said. – MKINI

Mahfuz ‘lauds’ Umno for teaching PAS to demonise DAP

Amanah vice president Mahfuz Omar oday sarcastically congratulated Umno for its success in “educating” PAS on how to use DAP as a fear-mongering tool.
“I would like to congratulate Umno, which has been successful in educating the PAS president to use DAP as an issue to frighten people,” he told journalists at the Parliament lobby today.
Mahfuz was responding to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang’s claim that Amanah was a DAP stooge and that the information had come from a Harapan leader.
Hadi claimed the formation of Amanah, a PAS splinter party, was supported by DAP and aimed at curbing the progress of Islam.
Mahfuz, who is also deputy human resources minister, said such a strategy was outdated.
“PAS is very loyal to Umno. They want to say that DAP is dangerous, communist and other things.
“But Umno, which it is befriending, also has relations to the communist party in China,” he said. – MKINI
