A group of Najib's supporters hurl verbal racial abuse at the UM students for holding up placards demanding the return of the people's money taken by Najib Razak and asked where the RM2.6 billion funds had gone during the last Friday incident near the Restoran Amjal, Jalan Pantai, Kuala Lumpur where former premier Najib Razak was addressing a group of students.
Upon the UM students' refusal to give up their placards, the group of UMNO members and supporters became physically aggressive, reportedly slapping them, pulling at their hair, strangling them and destroying their placards.
One of the assaulter seen is Lokman Noor Adam, a UMNO member who is reportedly on police bail since a earlier investigation under the Sedition Act from 11 January 2019.
The police should immediately arrest all those involved in the incident and charge them in court without further delay.
An apology will no longer suffice since this is an assault case, punishable under the law. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
