
An MACC team raided the home of a senior official from the Batu Caves Sri Subramaniar Temple committee and arrested the individual last night.
Malaysiakini understands that the several MACC officers arrived at the residence in Kota Damansara at about 7.45pm yesterday and subsequently picked up the individual for questioning.
When contacted, sources from the MACC and temple confirmed the raid and susbequent arrest.
However, it is unclear whether the anti-graft agency will seek a remand order for the individual.
Meanwhile, The Star reported that the MACC had also raided the temple’s office in Batu Caves sometime yesterday evening.
According to the report, the raids were believed to be connected to an issue involving a land deal.
