Najib: Closing my eyes in court doesn't mean I'm dozing

Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak has denied dozing off during a hearing at the Court of Appeal earlier today.
"No, I was closing my eyes," he said when met at the Parliament lobby.
Appearing unhappy, he said: "Don't make an issue out of it."
He was asked about an incident this morning where a police personnel was seen waking him up when his case was being heard.
The Edge had reported that Najib had dozed off during the appeal, which was related to the charges he is facing regarding funds from former 1MDB subsidiary SRC International.
Najib walked off and did not answer further questions from the media.
Among other questions, the Pekan MP was asked about attorney-general Tommy Thomas' submission that the former is allegedly engaging in multiple attempts to delaythe trial.
He was also asked to explain why he sought a gag order against the media on the money laundering trial involving SRC International Sdn Bhd.
In another incident during his trial held last Friday, Najib quietly exited the courtroom without permission in order to go to the toilet.
When the bench realised what had happened, the court was forced to adjourn the proceedings briefly until he reappeared. - Mkini
