Policeman still harassing my wife, claims postman

A postman has lodged two police reports against a policeman, believed to be stationed at the Police Training Center Kuala Lumpur (Pulapol), for purportedly harassing his wife and seducing her for sex.

The 30-year-old man said he lodged a police report against the cop in August last year, and again last month after claiming he was in the dark on the status of the investigation by the Kajang police.

In his first report which was sighted by Malaysiakini, the man claimed that his 32-year-old wife and the accused met for the first time at Pulapol in 2014 when she joined Muay Thai training there.

He said his wife admitted the accused had been sending her dirty messages through WhatsApp and she had revealed the incident to her mother in 2014.

"Her mum had advised her to ignore the messages as she didn't want to prolong this issue further and to protect the image of the policeman," he said in the report.

However, the man claimed the cop has continued harassing his wife up until now.

In his second police report, the man said seven months after lodging the first report, he has not been informed about the status of the investigation.

He further claimed that a doctor has confirmed he is now under depression.

When contacted, Kajang police chief Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof dismissed the claims that the police did not investigate the matter.

"It's not true. The investigation had been initiated and we have recorded a statement from the suspect," he said.

Dzaffir said he would ask the investigating officer handling the case to liaise with the complainant.  - Mkini
