UNDER HEAVY FIRE FOR RACIAL DISCRIMINATION, IGP THROWS ‘NAJIB & THUGS VS STUDENTS’ FIREBALL TO AG: NO ARRESTS MADE BUT INVESTIGATION PAPER TO BE SENT TOMORROW – IN OTHER WORDS, IF TOMMY SAYS ARREST THEN ONLY WE ARREST

KUALA LUMPUR: Police will submit an investigation paper (IP) on the altercation between Umno member and Universiti Malaya (UM) students as well journalists to the Attorney-General’s Chambers tomorrow.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said police had so far received 11 reports over the incident.
“So far no arrests have been made. However, we have recorded 26 statements in connection with the incident.
“Police will take further action based on deputy public prosecutor’s instructions,” he said.

Fuzi was speaking to reporters after attending the 212th Police Day celebration at Malaysian Police Training Centre here today.
Last Friday afternoon, a group of UM students who were holding a peaceful demonstration against Datuk Seri Najib Razak across the street from a restaurant where he was speaking, were accosted and manhandled by some of the former prime minister’s supporters.
A video of the scuffle, which has gone viral on social media, shows Najib’s supporters, including Umno supreme council member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam, violently confronting the students.
Lokman snatched a cut-out image of Najib in clown-face from one of the demonstrators and tore it; while another supporter grabbed another student and held him in a chokehold.
Najib’s supporters also reportedly harassed two journalists who were covering the event.
