At PKR wings congress, Azmin says party not built by one person



PKR AGM | PKR deputy president Azmin Ali's much-anticipated address to the party wings today took an overall reconciliatory tone, while reminding the party was greater than the sum of its parts.
While half of his speech was dedicated to talking about the economy, Azmin (photo) segued into party affairs to emphasise how differences in opinions through the spirit of unity, bonding and mutual respect.
"We must display magnanimity and listen to the grassroots. I am confident that if we hold firmly to our ideals and principles of our struggles, any differences, problems and crisis can be resolved.
"We will emerge stronger than ever", the PKR deputy president said.

Azmin said every member had a role to play in the party which has made 'justice for all' their main ideology.
"Everyone in this hall has a role in developing this party.
"PKR is not the work of one person because we are all warriors of justice," he said. 
Harapan's Rock of Gibraltar
Azmin, who is the economic affairs minister, said Malaysia's economy was on track to grow 4.7 percent this year.
He stressed Malaysia would proper even further with a stable government and PKR must reaffirm its commitment to strengthen the Pakatan Harapan coalition.
"PKR must remain Harapan's Rock of Gibraltar for stability and durability.
"Working hand in hand with all our partners in this formidable coalition, we will continue to strive for progress and reform for the nation," he said.
To do so, Harapan must value differences in opinion and engage in healthy discourses, said Azmin.
"It is most crucial that at the end of the day, coalition partners must remain consolidated in support of the vision and the bigger picture.
"In this regard, PKR must be the vanguard and (be at the) forefront of the driving force to fulfil this.
"We must be consistent in doing what is right. We must be open to listening to what the rakyat is saying. We must always be vigilant," he said. - Mkini
