GIVEN AN ULTIMATUM, AZMIN FINALLY ATTENDS PKR MEETING FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A YEAR: HIS REWARD – TO OFFICIATE YOUTH WING’S MEETING, WHILE FOR ANWAR – A VICTORY IN HIS BATTLE TO KEEP PKR TOGETHER IN SPITE OF MACHIAVELLI FORCES FROM WITHIN & OUTSIDE HIS OWN PARTY & PAKATAN PACT

KUALA LUMPUR – PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali appears to have mended ties with party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, following a special party Political Bureau meeting today. In a Facebook and Instagram posting, Azmin uploaded a picture of them conversing in detail during the meeting in Parliament.
Azmin even captioned the photo saying all problems can be solved.
“Meeting and discussing to strengthen party unity. With open discussion, all problems can be solved,” he said.
Similarly, Anwar also echoed his sentiments on Facebook, by sharing Azmin’s photo on Facebook and stating that the party will come out stronger from the discussion.
“God willing, Keadilan will grow stronger and firmer after the discussions with the deputy president. And this strength will be seen in the congress on the 6th, 7th, 8th,” he posted.
Earlier today, PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil announced that Azmin will be launching the party’s Women and Youth Wing congresses in Melaka tomorrow.
This followed a special PKR political bureau meeting in which Fahmi said both Azmin and Anwar reached a consensus with the other party leaders in continuing along this path and to make the congress a success.  – malay mail

Azmin attends PKR meeting for the first time in a year

KUALA LUMPUR: For the first time since the PKR election last year, its deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali (pix) has attended a party meeting.
The Economic Affairs Minister arrived around 6.15pm at the Parliament building today, where the PKR political bureau meeting was being held, together with several of his party allies.
Azmin said he would be meeting with his president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to discuss the party position and its preparation for its national congress, which is set to take place from tomorrow to Sunday in Malacca.
“I and the central leadership council (MPP) members who were elected in the party congress last year will meet with Anwar now to discuss several important matters.
“I would also like to announce that I will be attending the national congress this week,” he told reporters briefly when met here, today, dismissing any rumours that he might skip the congress.
Azmin, who will be officiating the PKR Wanita wing convention tomorrow night, said he would issue an official statement after the conclusion of the meeting.
Other PKR leaders who were with Azmin when entering the meeting were party vice-presidents Zuraida Kamaruddin and Tian Chua, and MPP members Sivarasa Rasiah, Amirudin Shari and Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon, among others.
Azmin has not attended a single PKR meeting — both the political bureau and the MPP meetings — since he was re-elected the deputy president in the party’s election in November 2018.
PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail had also previously said Azmin has failed to give any reasons for his absence. the sun daily

PKR Youth welcomes decision to have Azmin officiate annual congress

PKR Youth today welcomed the decision to proceed with the traditional practice of having the deputy president officiate at the annual congresses of the youth and Wanita wings.
The decision was made by the party’s political bureau this evening, overturning its previous decision to have former PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to officiate the youth wing’s congress on Friday.
PKR Youth chief Akmal Nasir said the decision was made in the interest of the party.
“During the meeting earlier, we put the party’s interest above everything else.
“Azmin has also given his commitment earlier that he would attend our congress,” he told reporters.
Previously, the youth wing snubbed Azmin in favour of Wan Azizah, almost causing an alternate party congress to be held by Azmin’s faction.
Today was also the first political bureau meeting which Azmin attended, a sign of a thaw in ties between him and party president Anwar Ibrahim in time for the party’s annual congress this weekend.
