KUALA LUMPUR: The coming Kuala Lumpur Summit will be a significant platform for Muslim leaders to discuss the current situation faced by the community around the world, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said.
He said it has come to the stage where Muslims anywhere and everywhere are being oppressed.
“Muslims are labelled as terrorists, and there is now a fear of Islam. It is quite obvious to everybody that the situation is getting worse.
“On the other hand, that oppression does not seem to worry anyone,” he said in a video uploaded on Twitter today.
The summit will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Dec 18 to 21.
“Welcome to Malaysia at the KL Summit 2019,” said Mahathir, who is the chairman of KL Summit 2019.
The Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Hamad Al Thani; Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan; Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani are among the notable Muslim leaders expected to join the summit. - FMT
One thing need to change among these belivers is not to kill in the name of yr God. When you do the killings in your God's name then automatically your religion is drag into such killings. The very thing you do not want others to relate to your religion hence the islamphobia comes into being. If every killings is blessed by your religion in the name of your God then you have yourself to blame. When you set yourself free from killing under the name of your God and religion then you can go very far in your lives. Yes, God is Great but if the people who practice it is a killing machine then you will be curse by those who practice the theme of love your enemy as yourself. Just my humble opinion. Happy new year. May the 2019 summit is open to opinions that is not only religious in nature but as a whole to the humane moral of all human beings irrespective of other religion, race and colour. And stop blaming others especially the Zionist and Jews or others for the cause of your problems because it will not help you to solve the Muslims country problem. Problems in, say Pakistan or Bangladesh or Algeria is not due to the Zionist or Jews. Thats a fact. So, do open to all to point out what is the issues that face Muslims country. Can the respective culture of individual countries be separated from the religion? The religion says one thing, the culture says another. There is lots of conflicts between religion and culture. So, let's see whether this summit can bring any reprieve for all Muslims country.
