The Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin Abdul Rahman had asked the question, “Are those ashes on RSN Rayer's forehead the ashes of Chin Peng?”, which is a clear insult to MP Rayer and to the Hindus on the whole, while MP Tajuddin was heard to have said it almost three to four times at the Parliamentary session yesterday.
A religious insult is not a small matter and must be dealt with severely by the Dewan Rakyat Speaker and the police since numerous police reports had been lodged.
Just accepting an apology will not suffice.
Furthermore, MP Rayer has claimed that the apology offered by MP Tajuddin was “unsincere, unremorseful and not honest“ to the Hindu community.
Tajuddin should be severely punished for his unwarranted outburst. There should be no compromise on this issue. Anyone who insults any religion should face severe penalty so that no Malaysian will speak ill about any religion.
Just suspending Tajuddin for two days by the Dewan Rakyat Speaker seems to be letting MP Tajuddin get away "scot-free" over his unwarranted religious insult remarks.
Can we see the Dewan Rakyat Speaker and Police taking severe action against MP Tajuddin immediately. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
